Prime in the Spotlight

Monday, January 12, 2009 | |

I was inspired by this quote from a post in Joe McNally's blog: "What happens when you open a camera shutter in a black room? Nothing, until you light it." He was talking about how a single flash can make a huge difference.

I decided to take it literally. I grabbed a flashlight, turned off the lights in my room, and shot these.

Thanks! What Joe said is true! "If you want something to look interesting, don't light all of it." :D Imagine if I shot it with all the lights on. It'd be just another pic of a toy. :p
