Rained early afternoon Saturday so I didn't push through with my plan of going out. This was Plan B.
Experimented with Lightroom a bit, dodging and burning in my attempt to recover the detail in the background of this pic:
Man, it's tough! Especially the edges. I just can't get the edges right. So I swore to get it right in-camera next time.
Tried a horizontal crop, too, to minimize the background seen. But I still like the vertical crop better.
I also found a few nice pics that I missed the first run-through.

Shot this one right before lunch. That's the smoke from the grill creeping in on the left side. :)

Modeling the R-Strap again. Didn't think a shoulder strap could be so stylish, did you?

Edge of Light
I love the feeling of serenity I get from this recrop. I washed out the background, and cropped tighter to put the focus on Kai. Find the original at the end of this post.
